Welborn Trucking & Welby’s Materials

  • For over 35 years, Welborn Trucking and Welby's Materials have been leaders in aggregate hauling and material sales in the Greater Charleston, South Carolina area.

  • Miles Ahead Brands partnered with Welborn, allowing the business to continue to perpetuate its legacy in the Charleston market, and ensure a home for the Welborn and Welby’s employees. We structured an investment that provided liquidity to the shareholders, created upside potential, and provided resources to continue to enhance and grow the business.

  • In the first year of ownership, Miles Ahead Brands implemented its asset-light brokerage expertise to expand Welborn's sub-hauler network. We also deepened relationships with enterprise-level customers.

AGGSHIP

  • AGGSHIP is an aggregate hauling and sourcing company that uses technology to provide efficient solutions. Based in Central Texas, AGGSHIP has over 200 trucks and skilled operators ready for projects of any size.

  • Miles Ahead Brands proposed a partnership that would allow the owner to focus on the business, rather than being caught up in the day-to-day headaches of the business.  This partnership provided AGGSHIP with more opportunities to service larger jobs and provide consistent work in the Texas market.

  • Miles Ahead Brands has provided AGGSHIP with back-end solutions (technology, accounting, HR, marketing, etc.) that have allowed the owner to focus on selling to new clients to unlock his growth potential.
